Healthy drinking water is very valuable and rare in Tanzania. There is virtually no running drinking water anywhere in the countryside, it must be carried to the huts in buckets and cans.

At Puma mission wells as deep as more than 80 meters were bored at considerable cost. According to the analysis the water is very good, the well seenis to be rich. That’s why the mothers and missionaries decided to build a small mineral water factory. There some people get work and they try to establish a new source of income by selling the water and so to secure the livelihood of the community in the long term.

The bottles are filled an sealed by hand, which because of hygiene – is no longer permitted by the state. A bottling machine will cost about 100.000 € – where take the money?
